1 Samuel 18:1 "After David had finished talking with Saul, Jonathan became one in spirit with David, and he loved him as himself."
Yesterday I introduced the concept of allowing God to help you find the right people for your life who will lift you up and encourage you. I called them the "right they."
Most of us instinctively know the “right they” in our lives, but we don’t always pursue those relationships. God wants us to have the kind of relationships that pour into our lives and give us fuel in our tanks. Look at David and Jonathan, Samuel records that, "After David had finished talking with Saul, Jonathan became one in spirit with David, and he loved him as himself." God desires each of us to have those kind of relationships in our lives.
Think about people in your life that may be flying under the radar because they are humble. Look for people that are constantly encouraging others, people that easily forgive wrongs and people who are following God’s will in their lives. These are the “right they”. They just might be your David or Jonathan and the people who will help you get to the next level in your relationship with God and ultimately have a full and abundant life.
